LE GRUNGE

I'm a bit curious about what the Olsens are up to after the 'hi-low' fashion they conjured that shook fashion and led to many blogger 'copycats'. The pile-up-anything style of the twins remain until today with strong references on the nineties- Kurt Cobain most especially! Though they preferred to get a rounded pair of sunnies or waferers instead of Kurt's white oblong pair whose photo became the iconic trademark of the lead singer of Nirvana.

I stumbled upon this Gus Van Saint film which I've heard long since but never had the chance of watching until recently. I LOOOVE the costumes. The movie is like a 90-minute fashion editorial straight from i-D Magazine! Interestingly, I miss the days four years back when I had this black satin lingerie which I wear with ripped jeans and black eyeliner. I probably be doing that again soon updated with layered with knits. It's the perfect time to pile on thin knits lately until climate and weather permits you to.

THE 'KARL' IS STILL IN THE BAG!

After Diane Pernet reported on her blog A Shaded View on Fashion that Karl Lagerfeld supposedly didn't renew his contract with Chanel, we inquired about the rumor's veracity directly with the label. A spokeswoman responded with an emphatic "No!" So there you have it. Update: A spokesperson for Lanvin has also denied the rumor that Alber Elbaz will replace Karl at Chanel.
