JESUS upstages Eva Herzigova and other familiar models like David Gandy, Noah Mills, Adam Senn and Julienne Quevenne for F/W 07 ad campaign of Dolce & Gabbana. We all know how fanatics the designer duo are to Madonna and it seems, what Madonna wants, D&G gives.
Taking inspiration from Italian film director Luchino Visconti’s pugilist flick “Rocco e I Suoi Fratelli” (“Rocco and His Brothers”), the campaign, shot by Steven Klein reeks with strong sexual and homosexual innuendos.
Staring at the photo, I don't think Jesus is really part of the shot. I have a fishy feeling that he was just photoshopped in. Look at where the models are staring. Looks to me that they are looking someone else behind Jesus and his appearance in the photo doesn't make sense. Steven Klein could create a tableau like this but i'm sure he wouldn't, unless of course, asked to by a more influential person. Probably the worse ad campaign for fall (and we haven't even started yet).
