DOLCE & GABBANA S/S 2010

"Sparkling!" is how men.style.com describes Dolce's collection. With all the beadworks applied to tanks, suits, pants and jackets, they might as well be. Which led me thinking, is the collection geared up to (real) men with elements favoring the pink market? If I'm straight, I'll never be caught dead in next season's Dolce & Gabbana.

Trend alert number 1 is the come back of "murse" or man-purses. It now comes in well-developed size with convenient strap for easy carrying. Looking at the butch-est male model with murse shouts GAY! Add up the fact that Madonna's charity work (read: Jesus Luz) emerged (and unfortunately the campaign) in tux and skimpy trunks which can barely hold his schlong, everything from the show shouts GAY! GAY! GAY! Which is not something gays would love. This is by far Dolce & Gabbana's worst collection.

Trend alert 2- ripped jeans. We get the idea. Wearing what seemed to be PJ's underneath to show peeping prints is impractical come summer. I like the idea, though. Ripped skinnies look amazing, but on straight-cut jeans? Uhm, no.

Trend number 3&4- knits and embellished tanks.
