JAG'S BLACK MAGIC BACKSTAGE PHOTOS and ZAC POSEN'S BACKSTAGE DRAMZ

The Beautiful Life with Mischa Barton has been picked up by CW for fall. It's model drama. I think the show will be like my Facebook account with Manila models and their dramas only set in NYC. Bwahahaha. I'm wondering if there'll be real models

Meanwhile, at SM Mall of Asia, RCXY has his share of backstage dramz turning beautiful models into witches, sorceress, vampires and, one woman, into a chandelier! Backstage was crazey with all 100 models walking through-and-fro. As usual, I didn't get to see the show because I was busy backstage.

Word is, Madonna has something to say:

Right after Jag's Black Magic Denim Show at SM MOA, I was still able to catch the Premiere Collection D at SMX wearing a top by John Paras and acid washed jeans from Jag Jeans. The monochrome print, though Missoni-ish, reminds me of TV's static white noise.

I was greeted by life-size photos of designer collections we shot a few weeks back.

My attempt to 80's-flashback.

I like what I did with this one

And the big tarp which says:

Delby Bragais- Attack of Katrina Halili Clones

The thing with using indigenous fabric like abel iloko is that, it's hard...hard to manipulate and hard to use. I've encountered the fabric few years back when the local government collaborated with some local fash designers to use and promote the fabric and boy, they had a hard time! Flash forward to present, the local government still failed to develop the fabric into something more practical. Delby's collection paraded with Katrina Halili's look-alikes in a variety of stiff and solid tube/spaghetti strapped numbers, varied only with cheongsam jackets. I can't blame the designer if she can only do as much. After 10 tube dresses, I fell asleep.

Kermit Tesoro- Sexy Space Cadettes

Kermit is a young designer and looking at the first few pieces of his collection, I can say that this kid is someone to watchout for. He just needs to realize that someone is closely watching on him to push him more to use the greatest of his abilities. Kermit is a futurist. I noticed that his works from previous years up to now has references of future-wear.
For this season's presenattion, Kermit opened up with gray-black combo with statement shoulders and/or illusions that emphasizes strong shoulders. They were Star Trek-ish but still wearable. I saw some unpretentious sleeveless trenchcoats which I like and along the line, something between a body-con dress and a shawl morphed into a modern panuelo and went back to what looked like his version of an Indio's terno. It was probably intentional and also a tongue-in-cheek parody on 'facing the future by loking back to you roots in order to move forward-theme.' He then proceed to end with sequined Balenciaga-esque silhouettes. his shoes were also adorable. Kermit also designs 'statement-making' footwear.

Dimples Lim- Gorgeous Garcon
Dimples is another new kid we should watch out for. Her Comme de Garcon-esque aesthetics, complex pattern-making and play of prints and patterns reminds me of young Mich Dulce. Mich is not alone anymore. And oh, the fortune cookie hats? Mich, isdatchu??
